Peanut's eyes look good today. I did think this morning that a couple of days ago I saw a bit of something that looked like a walnut bit on her nose. Not before or since then and none today. She is molting badly though, tons of fluff feathers were coming out all over the place when I handled her for her Baytril dose. Have pm'd Bob.
Going out again with salt free sardines for everyone!

 Glynda does not stop moving often but when she does she will hang out with her bestie Lady Featherington.

We may just have an egg coming as well. I have now caught Glynda checking out the nest box in Hattie House several times. So today I put fresh straw in those nest boxes and the nest boxes in Cluckle Hut.

This upsets me some as it makes it more likely that the egg will be white. Of course there is nothing I can do about it at this point.

Oh Tina laid another egg this morning and it tasted awful, I think I've given her too many flaxseed in her seed mix, I read that can happen with too much omega

Yes it can effect the flavor. You are right on that.

I don’t think I can get to a vet easily if the nearest vet could see her. I can’t drive and DH is not well, his pneumonia might be relapsing. Possibly a friend could take us. But what can be done if it is a viral cause? I haven’t had a chance to research this yet.

Sadly, nothing can be done for a viral infection.

Very true. Mycoplasma as well. If you only have 1 antibiotic on hand, have Baytril. Amoxy-Tyl is great to have in case you get an anaerobic infection somehow. Those are the 2 I always have on hand.

Calls to dr and pharmacy. Im out of my medicine and didnt remember to fill it so my blood sugar is in the 200's (252) since yesterday. Just waiting for a refill. Been numb and dizzy and all that from my diabetes.

It is usually too late to separate when you see symptoms. I would error on the side of companionship.

If it is bird flu for example, it's already too late when you see symptoms. They will pass away quickly thereafter and all the rest of your birds already have it. That's why they immediately cull infected flocks.

Most viruses are infectious well before symptoms appear, much like Covid.
