Another Test for the New Roof

There is now snow accumulating on it. :(

That tree in the background is beautiful, though, and will probably look lovely in the morning, 'frosted' with snow against the red leaves. :D

(Trying to put a positive spin on it! We will be getting that storm tonight into tomorrow. :( )
Yes, I love that tree. It will likely be very pretty on the morning. The snow is accumulating on the roads now. Buckle up its coming your way.

Change of plans…

Need to move horses today (tomorrow the latest) and head out tomorrow Thursday the latest.

Need to be onsite with the CM (Construction Manager) to set up camp worksite office trailers, get stuff organized…. 😊😢

Both happy and sad, happy to be back at work, sad to be away from my horses chickies and family.

BUT only for a month then back for Christmas! And them back out there again till Spring breakup 😳

OK today is gonna be CRAZY!
Bit of a reprieve - I am now leaving on Friday, so move horses Thursday... so that gives me a bit of time to get roosts done yay!

Had my Drug and Alcohol testing today, so tonight I can hopefully get a better sleep; I did some grocery shopping for stuff I can’t get in camp; my uncle was up and we put the cameras up at the house so I can keep an eye on things; I want to move one of the cameras in the barn so I can keep a better eye on the chooks in the Hen House.

Also need to get my truck's radio (not music radio - CB Radio) running, and set to the control roads channels. I love calling KM on the roads - 'Blue pickup at KM34…’. Don’t want to get run over by a logging truck!

AND I was able to find out exactly were I will be going, seems I am no where near manning - more like 3 hrs north west! So that means no we’re near civilization! So going to town means a 3 hr tour! One way!

So I am stocking up on sweets n treats.

Everyone is tucked in - those silkies though are going to give me fits! Fix roosts tomorrow!

Because early laying means white eggs?

As @BY Bob wrote, if it's something contagious likely everybody has already been exposed and separation is too late by the time symptoms have made it evident. They sleep together in close quarters, preen together, preen each other even, steal treats and foraged food from each other, eat out of the same feeder, etc. Not a chance of quarantine there.

I would want to continue the comfort they get from the companionship and sense of normalcy and tribe when together. Her lieutenant Hazel is probably her bestie. (She does have to give her a bit of a face-off when Hazel tries to dominate her at the feeder after dominating Butters and Popcorn there). Hazel was sticking very, very close when Peanut was visibly not feeling well. Like right next to her. She has been by her side, trailing her, or close by and keeping an eye on her in all things still.
Awwww Hazel sounds like a gem I sure hope Peanut is doing ok, I have been scrambling today so just catching up now.
