I am too sick to pay tax

With Covid at least I was starving…. Couldn’t eat due to screaming sore throat but at least I craved food.

It’s a chore to stuff toast in me. Yes Bob I am drinking fluids 🥰
Thanks for not making me say it.

How about a photo of a chicken in the warm to warm your heart?

Oh, oh, oh...there is a plain old 'winter photography contest'...no chickens needed!!! Please enter that contest! Please, please, 'dad' I want you to enter:lau:gig:lau

Seriously, though, there are some gorgeous ice in those photos :)
Which photos should I enter?

This was a hilarious read! Well done and well said Aurora.
Thank you. I'm glad you liked it.
Oh I have experienced this it is absolutely stunningly beautiful but so dangerous! I am very glad that tree caused no damage to your coop.
When the limbs break in the ice like that they fall in slow motion so fortunately they don't have a violent impact when they land.

I am officially disowning every chicken on the place besides Butter. Mom made me use a walking stick to get around to the backyard. Got me a chair and told me to sit and NOT move or she was locking me in my room. I had the bread treats, I called the chickens. None of them would come within 3 feet of me. NOT ONE OF THEM. Bubba looked at me and crowed, Twig danced around the back of my chair. Branch, I want to strangle him and turn him into soup. Mom tried to catch him and Rosie, he refused to be caught. I wanted to try to catch him but was dared to move, I think he may have let me walk up to him and pick him up. Butter finally after 20 minutes of calling came up to me and let me pick her up. She sat in my lap a few minutes then mom insisted I put her down. She was afraid if Butter tried to get down herself she would scratch my incisions through my clothes. I did get to do a head count and every chicken and chick are accounted for so that is good. It's gotten dark so I was sent inside and told to rest. Oh well, I got a hour of fresh air even if the chickens did not cooperate. I will not be able to go back out tomorrow, temperature is dropping and it is supposed to be raining again.
:hugs :hugs :hugs

You were not yourself and they knew. Give them a bit. They will come around.

Plus that funny cane....they don't like changes to environment nor routine!
Any change puts them on edge. I sat in the "wrong" chair the other day and it took them a while to come to terms with the change.
