Why don’t you move the nest boxes to where they are laying?

It’s likely too open and bright there. My gals like to go somewhere dark and secluded, like a half empty bag of shavings

I tried that, they simply moved to the even less accessible corner. Yes, mine too seem to like it where is darkest and hidiest (not a word but it is now!)

Okay, so maybe I got a few too many chickens, but, unsupervised, the possibilities ARE endless,
