Beautiful photography
It takes generally three days for symptoms but that can vary. Possible considerations I can think of at the moment are the usual - size of spaces (cavernous, claustrophobic, something in between?), including the bathrooms you encounter, number of people, proximity to said people, & viral load out there. Lots of people think they don't have Covid when they do.

Tax & Monday Mugs. Got some pictures today!

Hazel, looking very fetching

Monday Mugs

A bit late, but had some work to catch up on, and then the phone needed to be recharged.

Anyways here are my kiddos freshly photographed tonight.

Blanche (doesn't she look like she wants to peck me in the eye for waking her? haha)

.... somewhere under those feathers is a mug!
Beautiful mugs, Mr P is handsome and hilarious both at the same time, all those glorious head feathers!

Glynda in this picture looks like she is filling out a bit more still sleek and refined but maturing beautifully. She really does glow.
LF my inspiration for the hatching eggs I have on pre-order is looking beautiful as always in all her spangled feathers.
Aurora looks beautiful of course but also a bit like me in the morning before coffee lol not ready to be up quite yet 😂

Leave the eggs. It won't hurt to leave them (unincubated) for a day. If she's thinking about turning broody, this may encourage it.
Yep tomorrow morning I will put them back in the nest box with her , I marked the date on them. I want to make sure I have her eggs under her and Sophia’s also. She is getting older so I will try for a replacement for her with wattles 😊

If Marty lays an egg tomorrow I will mark and hold it till next week and stuff under her if she is going to be broody. Or if I can get a couple eggs from her and Sophia. I think she can cover 4 eggs, Sophia’s are huge!

Bear in mind: eggs hatched under Ma recognize her voice. The chicks coming in won't know her from the rest. You may need to have her sit someplace like the feed room so you can close her in with the chicks for a couple of days until they learn Ma's voice.
Yep, I will lock them all up like Rebecca did with the marshmallows brood. I read somewhere it takes about 24 to 48 hrs for them to imprint on mama - I will be very careful when I pick them up to not see me… apparently chickens can recognize faces also!

Hi all, how is everyone?
Yesterday Dixie passed away with the babies under her wing with them chirping trying to get her to wake up. I sent her off for a Necropsy in UCONN because her sudden death alarms me. Jolene seems like her behavior and is sleeping in the house. All dirty, ruffled feathers, pale, not eating. Hope she pulls through.
I am so very sorry for your loss. I hope you get the necropsy results soon in case Jolene is also affected by the same thing. Are the little ones ok? Will you have to put them in a brooder now?

Ha! The first time I got it, I had been eligible for my first booster for two weeks. We’re twins!

OK now, after complaining about chatter, I’ve been going a little crazy on the Covid. Sorry. Here’s my tax.
Such beautiful chickens. 😍

The white ones always get muddy backs. Here it is from ducking under the house.

I have a Twig update that should make Alex smile. In a few weeks he could potentially be a father. My most loyal egg customer picked up her eggs this morning. While she was here she spotted my incubator and went ahead and put her order in. She wants 2 dozen hatching eggs by Tuesday. Her only request is the big eggs, she does not care about color or breeds. I will be tossing in some of the Buff orps and the Cinnamon Queens eggs in that mix. Both Cinnamon Queens prefer Twig as their rooster. When she picks them up I will also see if she wants a goose egg or two tossed into the mix for free since they are not big eggs.
The world needs more good roosters.
