Good to know, I was thinking of using it underneath them but yes overtop would be easy to do. And safer for them. If I can’t find a brooder plate I will use the heating pad.

Right now I have my kiddos in a large animal crate housed in The office/feed room it’s warm in here.View attachment 3468162
How is the little one that you thought wasn't doing so well. Did she make it through the night? :fl :fl :fl

Baby update

Well the poorly one is still with us, she was out and eating (pecking at feed) from the crumble I crushed up when I went out at 5:30am, she didn’t want any sugar water to drink though.

She was active but very unsteady on her legs. I will keep a very close eye on her today.
Aww poor little thing. Have you given her some vitamin supplements?

Oooops, must have been writing as you were posting. I do hope she improves. The fact that she was interested in feed is good...but....she should be ravenous. :(
She is very unsteady, holding her wings away from her body (unless She is startled). She is very weak and is getting buffeted by the other crazy chicks. But I am glad she was out on her own pecking at feed.

Morning Marie, morning lovely moggy 🥰
