Are you sure she couldn’t go back to the flock? Are you thinking she will get bullied? Might it be worth doing a supervised reintroduction?
My thinking is related to the size of her rooster. Big Boy is a big boy around 14 pounds or so. He could possibly aggravate the leg. A lot depends on how well she heals. Above all I want her to have good quality of life. I am optimistic but have to consider that she won't be with her flock again.

Why not get a bantam roo? Maybe then she could get mated.

We have chicks from her now. We have several different size roosters. So if my wife decides to breed Goldie we can. We have roosters of the following type. Sebrights, bantam game, bantam frizzle, bantam EE's, standard EE's, Cochin , Lavender Orpington, Silky and a variety of crosses, lol

Did you have a ThinkPad? I wonder what BYC would've looked like if it existed back then.
I like fixing my own devices. And when people give me old electronics that they were going to throw out, I'm even happier.

Awesome photo!!
Babies

They are already hopping up onto the brooder plate

The wee poorly little girl drank some of the sugar water and again pecked half heartedly at the crumble. I used a hammer and crushed the bits smaller for them.

Wonderful video, I could watch them all day. I do hope the weak girl pulls through, she is in the best hands.
Ha! Food are you in there??
