Well she has slept in a nest box three nights in a row, and is in one every time I go out there. But she will jump out in a hurry if I have treats, and so think is leaving it more than once a day. So I would say half-broody/inexperienced. In my case it is a bad thing. No rooster/fertile eggs and no plans to get new chicks this year. Am going to see if she snaps out of it after about a week. If not will have to break her. Would have tried putting her on roost after dark last night but it was windy/rainy and didn’t feel like bundling up and putting trash bag over my boot that late.Ooooo is she broody? Is that a good thing if so?
@notabitail Yep, we are very demanding/needy when it comes to chick pics.Want pictures of all so we can count ourselves and be sure the math is correct.![]()

Kitty kicked Strider in the mouth and knocked out a front tooth when he was about two months old. Had to wean him early. Worst part was his baby teeth “slid” together to fill the gap. So when his permanent teeth started coming in they didn’t line up right. Ended up having to pull some of them to let the others come in straight.Well it’s all relative, when you have horses and you see the horrendous damage a kick from a beotchy old evil mare can do to a foal everything else is just blasé.
How many employees does his company have? If there are enough that FMLA applies he should have requested FMLA leave. It might still be early enough to do it. And either way his doctor should be able toI think they understand but just don't care. Too many companies only see employees as resources to be used up.
provide a note with restrictions keeping him out for awhile.
