Piglet (I must stop calling her that!) has taught all the others about the zipper door to the tent. So now they are all lined up waiting for mash.
They didn’t have to wait too long.
It is the Ameraucana in the plate. She likes to dig through the mash to find her mash.
The one I am worried about is getting stuck in and was flying around energetically this morning. I guess she must be OK. But she does have some poop stuck back there. I am not sure if I should try and remove it or leave it be.

I removed the poopy poop on the butts of two who were like that. Warm water to just soak it off and then fluff it dry. They should be able to reach back there by now to preen.

I removed the poopy poop on the butts of two who were like that. Warm water to just soak it off and then fluff it dry. They should be able to reach back there by now to preen.

Yeah they love the mash even though they have dry crumbles available all the time. They love those too.

So just dab at it with a warm wet rag? I don’t think I would dare actually dunk her in water!
And then hair dryer on a low setting? Or just air dry under the plate?

I used a cotton ball soaked in warm water , and held on the poop to help soften it. Then try to gently soak any poop off. I then dried with a tissue gently fluff at it. I didn’t get all the poop off just made sure their pooper wasn’t clogged over. I would check daily and make sure poop wasn’t building up on the butt, but I had to make sure it was dried quite a bit before putting her back with the others as they would peck at the wet bum otherwise.

Glad your feeling better, and it helps to have the wee ones around

I just held the chick I was working on a bit before starting work. Cuddling the wee one a bit to calm it down helps.

So glad to hear that. I have been doing the jello and yogurt for 7 weeks now. we dont know whats wrong and I was so sick and in so much pain the past couple of night. Finally went to the bathroom and started feeling better. I just lay here and listen to zeus and Hades cocorico all day.
