Creek has been running full. Looks like it overflowed Saturday or Sunday along the fence line on the left. Sometime during the night, it overflowed upstream, too. When I got up this morning, it was snaking partway across the pasture in the middle. Now it has joined the other part. This means we've had a fast melt on the heights.View attachment 3491347(Panorama shot: the rail on either side is all one piece)

I was aiming for a thirsty pic....Belladonna was perched on top of the tire. Brahmas can fly...pretty well!View attachment 3491349
That looks like a trampoline jump rather than flying.

Samples are being delivered. Spoke to lab so they will grab package and stabilize for testing before my time window runs out. Which is about now.

Meanwhile, Eli seems to be learning how to cope with her imbalance a bit. She is a bit unsteady but she is standing on the roost.
My worry now is she is not really eating very much (though she does drink) and her comb is very pale. Something is clearly not right.

It is almost impossible for me to get a picture of any chick other than Piglet. She is a complete camera hog. She literally rushes towards the phone shouting ‘me, me, me’.
I managed to divert her with some food off to the side to get a few blurry pictures including one just for @RebeccaBoyd because all it shows is feathery legs.

What is your chick brooder tent? I see a dog-bone shaped logo there in the back. Do you like it so far? I am entertaining myself with everybody’s chick pics, and making plans for my brooder next year! These pop-up tents look very handy.

Wow they are all so adorable
Trouble makers all, and time thieves!

The two mamas decided to come off the nest so I accommodated them by hauling everyone off - Fluify had a huge smelly doodoo thankfully I was getting worried she hadn’t pooped.

Once the chicks started screaming they were cold they plopped down in the middle of the hen house floor. And that’s were we are now. Me freezing my butt off sitting on a foot stool.

Oh there is an escapee little Penne and little topknot, driving their mama's crazy running around! Oh and now the grey one! Oh they know freedom now they won't be contained!

The little splash isn't out yet tho.

Try warm sugar or honey water. I prefer honey as it an excellent sugar to digest.

So glad they have the labs. Hoping for some news

How long do the tests take?
