OMG, @RoyalChick I love this photo.

To me, it says " This food dish is MINE! Anybody wanting some has to go through ME first! You got that, camera lady????:lau:lau:lau:lau:lau🥰
She is going to give Bernie a run for her money!

But it reeks in the bathroom after she puts it on. Not to mention dryer sheets. I tried reading the ingredients (one of my bad habits) and my eyes teared up and wouldn't function right.
Um, I hate to say this, but, are you sure it is the MAKE-UP that causes the bathroom to reek? As we age, so does our digestive track...:idunno:idunno
just sayin'
(P.S. it could also be her perfume. Some of them have ungodly smelling propellents that, until they dissipate, have a strongly negative aroma.!

Yes, I know...tax will be forth-coming when I can take pic tonight at home.😞😞

What is your chick brooder tent? I see a dog-bone shaped logo there in the back. Do you like it so far? I am entertaining myself with everybody’s chick pics, and making plans for my brooder next year! These pop-up tents look very handy.
I love my little tent. I have it on a table so the little babies are at eye level and I can reach in rather than over the top.
The mesh is very fine so easy to see through and keeps the dust in. My only issue is the one I got is only 30" round so it is a tad small for 5 chicks with all their 'kit'. They do come in bigger sizes so I might look out for when they are on sale and get a bigger one for some future generation of chicks.
The only other issue is that because it is a pop-up there is nothing you can use to hang waterers and if you pick it up it all sags in the middle. Not a big deal but means I need to put waterer up on bricks so it doesn't get filled with shavings.

Samples are being delivered. Spoke to lab so they will grab package and stabilize for testing before my time window runs out. Which is about now.

Meanwhile, Eli seems to be learning how to cope with her imbalance a bit. She is a bit unsteady but she is standing on the roost.
My worry now is she is not really eating very much (though she does drink) and her comb is very pale. Something is clearly not right.
Are you sure it isn't an ear infection?? Everything just screams that that is what it is, to me. (Only because I had an inner ear infection and was extremely dizzy, head would spin (?or was it the room spinning) everytime I moved my head, etc)

at first the Dr. thought I was just being 'dramatic' as they didn't see anything wrong with me. Until they took a blood sample and found elevated white blood count..and something else with the blood sample. Forget now as it was many years ago.

This would account for strength and mental clarity and physical coordination (for flying, for gripping your finger, etc), but not for walking, as the poor ground won't hold still if she has an inner ear infection!

I am not sure if anything!
I would think if her inner ear was an issue she would have trouble pinpointing a sunflower seed or navigating her way up to the vet’s cabinet.
I think we see the results from the blood and go from there.

It is almost impossible for me to get a picture of any chick other than Piglet. She is a complete camera hog. She literally rushes towards the phone shouting ‘me, me, me’.
I managed to divert her with some food off to the side to get a few blurry pictures including one just for @RebeccaBoyd because all it shows is feathery legs.

They are all so adorable. I know you like your clean leg girls, they remind you of snakeskin boots. I think the feathered leg girl will have snakeskin cowboy boots with tassels or fringe.

She is already square dancing!
Her version is to jump up and down on the spot while shouting loudly.
Maybe she is making the calls!

Maybe that is her name: Tassles.
I will consult with her when I get back home tonight.

Ok final chick count as everyone is finally done hatching for the moment. Momma hen ended up with 4 chicks. Her 5th egg hatched late yesterday but it was weak and it passed overnight. Between all 4 momma's with chicks I now have 16 chicks running around a week apart. I am impressed with the hatch percentage as well, Gryffyn was the only one who had 2 infertile eggs out of the 4 she was given. Everyone else including Momma Hen even though she lost 1 had a 100% hatch rate of the eggs given. This alone is one reason why in the long run mommas top incubators every time. I have never ever gotten a 100% hatch rate using a incubator.
