I am so very behind but thought i would suggest a painters suit. They make those light weight ones out of tyvek or something similar. I think they are pretty cheap.

Thank you. That does look like what I need.
I am starting out with the permethrin spray on my clothes plus the cap with mosquito net to prevent the ones falling out of the trees.
But I think I will get a couple of painter suits in case the other methods fail.

One of our chicks is choking. What to do?
What makes you think so?
If true, then this is too late. But open beak and look down to see if you can see what is blocking the throat and grab it if you can.

The four chicks are enjoying the warmer temperatures and sunlight; and Penne has learnt that she can fly up, and climb over the mesh that I have put up as a temporary barrier to contain everyone. Except her! She is going to be trouble I am sure - another Buttercup in the making.

OK well had my lunch, now to mow the grass (weeds hahaha) before it starts raining again tomorrow. Round and round I go.... Do one more head count of the chooks then grab the lawn tractor.

I have a majority of black chickens. The Marans and the Marans crosses have the gold colored eyes. Marans are not supposed to have black eyes though.
Here is Raven a Marans mix.
