I don’t know what happened there. Here is a more normal event - Eli flies off and Bernie is startled by launch.

But once it was Eli that got startled by a flying chicken

So much entertainment for us Hoomans, I sure hope the chooks also get some entertainment out of us!

Well I deployed the bigger tray on the upper deck (thank you Chewy) but they are all still squished together and ignoring the extra space. Silly chickies!

Oh - she is the Ameraucana - she is supposed to have a pea comb. Isn’t she also supposed to have a beard and muffs? No sign.
I like her face.

Araucanas have muffs. Ameraucanas have beards. Easter eggers have beard and muffs.

I was going to go for ride, but need to mow the grass again! Ugh, riding in circles on a bumpy lawn tractor, and I am fighting a migraine today, but mow the grass I must. The chickens stand and look at me - they are not at all bothered by my riding the lawn tractor, I am sure they are thinking what a good slave I am

Growing up fast

Just sitting here eating lunch, the Tweens left me and next I hear chuk chuk chuk chuk chuk and I thought what is that?

OMG it’s Rico calling his sisters and tidbitting to them! He is 5.5 weeks old. What on earth?! I have never heard of such things.

They mature quickly in your parts.

They are adorable, but there in lies the problem, I am now so attached to them it’s distressing for me to think of rehoming him.
