But why does it all have to happen in the middle of the night?!

Good question. Show season is from May to September. Here in Kentucky we are dealing with heat and humidity. Shows are supposed to start at 7. Saturdays did not start until 9. They delayed it to 8 initially because it was 90. They pushed it back to 9 as about 6:30 there was a pop-up thunderstorm and they had to get the ring ready afterward. They were also giving people time to travel a hour and a half to get to the show as another one had got cancelled because of the rain. Depending on the size of the crowd, it can be over at 2, but I have saw them last until 5 or 6 in the morning.

Dunno. He's only a year old. We'll both have to wait until fall when he does his 1st adult moult.

I can't wait to see in that case. I am still very surprised by her colour - not sure what I expected but not that...

we have those fly blankets here - I thought of getting Truly one - she is white so she really would look like a Zebra
