Good idea!
I could ask for an early birthday gift, as my birthday is later in the month.
I'll see what I can do!!

I submitted it anyway. The mods are pretty good at telling you if it is no good and helping fix it if it is fixable.Maybe @BY Bob or @Ponypoor can help you 'fiddle' with these to make them work for the contest????? You know I'm no help in that department. Maybe techie @notabitail could help, too?????
I am always amazed at how fast they grow up2fers....

It’s chicken math don’t you know?Lovely pictures as always. I love your flock and your setting.
I do worry though that you cannot count. Counting is a useful skill.
I count one-two-three (OK two cockerels). And in the next picture one-two-three-four (OK that is two 2-fers).
But that last picture. Is that also two 2-fers? Or do I count one-two-three-four-five?!

Well I rather think that Hamlet the big classic is my favourite, murder, despair, insanity…. Regret. All the usual themes of any good book, movie, play.Which is your favorite play?

2 and a half 2fers...?
Like this? How is that working out for you @Ponypoor?
Seems like we still see lots of pictures of chicken in your office. I think you call them break-ins, but we know you like them coming to visit!

Hmm, really? You say that, but there are no real consequences. Just like telling a dog 'down' at the same time you are petting them. It doesn't really mean 'down'. Well for these two 'off-limits' really only means 'Momma will give us a bit of attention as she shoos us out"!![]()

It is working out just fine. She gets to have company, but "claims" they are just 'bad boys'. Aren't many women attracted to 'bad boys - for good or bad?
If a girl's inner life is unexpressed, she may be drawn to a bad boy as a way of vicariously expressing her own inner rebel.” Basically, “We're attracted to qualities in others that we ourselves wish we had,” says sociologist and clinical sexologist Sarah Melancon, Ph.

The Story Of A Bad-Boy Rooster - Hobby Farms
Turn the phone sideways, it should automatically orient to that way. If not then you will need to go into settings and set the auto rotate.Aww - thank you. I don't think they are wide enough. I need to learn to take photos in portrait mode - it just isn't as easy using the phone.
This has to be driving you nuts. All this bad math.Hmmm, @BY Bob has had trouble counting lately, and it is his thread...so it will probably get a pass

1 - Roookay, @RebeccaBoyd & @rural mouse (and anyone else who wants to chime in) Who is who - pullet or roo?
New pictures of my 'BR' (ha), Marans, and buff orps. They are just under 3 weeks old. Not positive, but think they hatched on a Wed. based on when they showed up at the TSC store.

The one with the white fluff on the chin is DEFINITELY showing pink in the wattles! The clean legged one is starting to show a hint of wattles, but the area isn't pink - so they don't really show in the pictures (of course, so hard to keep them still and in proper position for that shot, too
#3 & 4:

These two kept looking away at the last minute - so I have lots of chest and neck shots, with the heads twisted around and out of sight for these two. Again these are supposedly Marans, I'm thinking BCM - no waddle development at all with either. No copper color, either, but that is too early - they are only half feathered (or less). The second one is slightly more advanced in the feathering department - but only by a day or two.
#5 & 6: # 5 shows absolutely no pink. But 6 (couldn't get it in a photo) is showing tiny, tiny pinkish wattles.

#7 & 8 ( @Ponypoor look at those cute tiny but very pink wattles on #7 & #8- and not even quite 3 weeks old yet!!!)

# 9 & 10 : BO, supposedly pullets. Way too soon to tell for sure by looks, but demeanor says 'pullet' on both. Or, at the very least, low ranking roo.View attachment 3580873View attachment 3580874View attachment 3580875
EDIT to add: I'm thinking 3, 4 & 5 (plus the BO) are pullets. But won't officially declare for the Marans for another 1-2 weeks. For the BOs, not until at least 8 weeks old.
