who are they? Rico and Penne? Who has the single comb?
Yes Rico and penne both have similar combs, Penne has the black pigments on his comb and wattles.

Rico in the back Penne in front. It just looks like a single comb buts it’s actually all over the place!

I honestly don't know how they grow so fast! :gig It was just last week that they had no feathers at all except for their wings!
Next they will be flying up on your desk interrupting Teams meetings….. oh wait sorry my bad 😁 that’s my rowdy bunch 🐥

@RoyalChick

Eli-too is becoming a very elegant young lady, who knows how to get away with getting me to let her stay on the office haha!

She is one of the smart ones who just lays down by the door enjoying the breeze 😊

Tippy and Muffy also know how to be nice little ladies

This a repost, but I thought it would make a nice twofer for @BY Bob.

And a few more photos of these freedom loving ladies..the trust building phase is taking time ! Alba's comb flops to the left and Nieva to the right.
They are still laying 5 to 6 times a week, but no more double yolk or soft shell. I think they are getting better health wise, they used to have very pale yolks compared to all my other hens, and now they have turned much more orange like the other layers.

As always lovely photos of your chooks and the scenery ❤️

6 feet - it is definitely a 'flatten you' kind of branch and it is resting on some other also big branches that have been weighed down and are at risk of snapping.
It is a massive tree - I would say 100' or maybe more - I will ask the tree guys tomorrow - and this is one of the big main branches maybe 40' up.
It is scary.
Last fall it shed a branch that was more like 8" in diameter that missed the roof of the Chicken Palace by inches - and that made a huge thud when it hit the ground.
Holy Dinah! You be careful! I am glad and arbourist will take care of it for you. That’s a honking big tree!

This is my original 12 MP photo of Chicken Abigail. It should be the same resolution as your phone's camera (3024x4032).

This is a cropped photo that has been cropped to landscape. It comes in at 7.4 MP, and the exact resolution is 3013x2459. Slightly lower than the cameras on an iPhone 5s.

Therefore, by cropping, you will lose some of the resolution and quality of the photo. You can crop it and ask the host of the calendar contest if the quality is OK.
Please note this is not the best photo either. Chicken Abigail was looking down on my new-ish Samsung Galaxy Note9, which I have been using for a few months now. She did not think highly of it. Said she'd pluck the camera out. She has since relented, but she thought I was attached to that phone.
And Fuzzy wanted this photo to be shared with you, RoyalChick:
