Should I worry that my Princesses are all soaking wet? There is torrential rain and they are all outside digging in the mud.
It won't get colder than 60F in the night.
WDYT? OK?
I would think they are fine. Just put some warm food in their coop in case they want it for their bedtime meal. My chickens have made a questionable decision of walking by wet hoses and getting wet and stuff and they are fine.
You do need to send photos of them, please.

The princesses will be fine. Have you ever saw a soaking wet silkie?

Now you have. This was last November, it was a cold rain. Your girls will spend the night grooming and fluffing those feathers up.

I also feel bad I missed it, like you it has never been an issue before and none are limping. I’m upset with checking them for lice and mites ...and i’ve been less serious checking their feet.

Quoting myself below from my thread on what I did today. My main problem apart from their skittishness is the number of chickens requiring treatment 🙁.
Tomorrow my partner will get a drawing salve and Epsom salts. I will be on my own at home so i’m not sure just what i’ll manage with the leghorns.

@RoyalChick and @Sally PB : forgot to post this photo for you that my partner took a few days ago : an overgreedy honey bee ! We’ll be taking honey from the supers sunday morning. I still have some from last year.

Wow that’s a lot of pollin ❤️

 :rant:tongue:sick:barnie:he The weather has brought the Stick Tight Fleas back to my chooks! Now I must go in the coop at night and administer the flea treatment to each infected bird. Poor Flash has several on her comb. Where there’s one, there’s many more!
Awww poor babies, glad we don’t have them here. What sort of treatment do you use? I seem to remember you had them last year.

Yesterdays 1st day of school picture with the offending hair cut. She has wore it the same for 8ish months now.
As rural mouse said, she looks grown up. It looks like a no-nonsense cut, but one that has lots of potential to dress up for special occasions. Or just for a change of pace.
By the way, you may need to relent on wild color. I keep pondering a purple stripe for myself. Or a bright green one to match my green chickens.
Purple! Someday, I'll do purple!

I love that picture!

Can't wait to see what my bees have done in the two weeks they've had a honey super. And the goldenrod is just starting to bloom.
