Tack didn't come home at roost time tonight. I think she has a nest somewhere. I will be pleasantly surprised if I see her again. The last outside nest site she chose was not a good one.
If it rains she's in with a better shout but the hunt by smell predators will find her in this weather.
Oh no. I hope she makes it through :fl

Now you know why I don't have soft furnishings. You can train them not to climb on the furniture.
Some get the idea more readily than others.
I was thinking of an old towel placed over the cushions when they're not in use.

If she does, and I spot her tomorrow, I'll try to follow her back to her nest. If the weather is like it was today, 37C 80something percent humidity then I'm going to be a very grumpy bucket boy.

Rightly so. But hopefully you'll have a Tack to show for it.

I use an old feed bag on the Ikea rocking chair. They get on that to get into the nest box. To be fair most don't get on the furniture. Tap has pretty much stopped climbing on everything now. Moon still gets on the chairs, mostly to get away from the seniors. That will improve in time.

What makes you think that?

She’s got a tiny comb that’s pale. She’s not giving me any indication that she will lay soon but she’s definitely not a roo. She doesn’t seem younger than the salmons as she dominated them when we first got them. If she never lays, she is still welcome here. :love

Maybe she just doesn't make eggs??
