This development has been caused by current employees seeing their job or a job similar to theirs posted with a higher salary than they are currently being paid. So icky companies have stopped posting salary ranges to be safe. Even worse, by doing this they can pay discriminate and pay people different rates of pay based upon their race, sex, etc.

Perhaps next time you could accuse the company of doing this so they can pay women less for the same work and mention you know lawyers that might find that interesting.

There are laws in the states now that require a salary range be posted with a job. For example, California's went into effect on 1/1/23. I can't believe that Canada does not have that protection.

First Egg

Seems Topsy has given me a wee blue egg this morning, I would have bet money on Twister who has been squawking the past couple days. It’s a bit smaller than a Silkie egg.

Enjoying the morning, had some family friends drop in unexpectedly at 8am this morning on their way to their cottage, had fried eggs, homemade bread toasted, and a lovely visit, our friend tuned up mum’s guitar and played some tunes, now they are back on the way to their cottage

Now I am enjoying my cuppa tea with the chooks.

I just transferred an undisclosed amount of money to my local homeless shelter. It’s been a tough summer for everyone there and electricity for them is a staggering cost. $$$$
I feel great about doing that, and helping my community.

Perfect timing on this response. My MIL passed away from a widowmaker heart attack yesterday morning. We're all raining. Thank you.

Seoc sneezing out the water yesterday was quite the barrel of laughs. Needed it.

As far as work goes, the give-a-darn is still nonexistent, and the eye rain is running close to the surface. Work may take my mind off things or it may make things worse. The last time I saw her was there.

I haven’t heard their roosters crowing either. Only my roo Jaffar is heard in the mornings.
Maybe I should peek over the fence and see what is going on there.
