I am sure the only thing it burned was my bridges with them. But yes I have noted this stupid trend - are they hoping that someone will post a ridiculously low salary and an outstanding qualifications that they will hire that person?I loved that post! I wish companies could consider the value of people’s time and effort! Great point, and I hope that it burns someone’s britches!![]()
I'm so sorry!Perfect timing on this response. My MIL passed away from a widowmaker heart attack yesterday morning. We're all raining. Thank you.

When I do my search now I am excluding anything that doesn’t have a salary. Not many to pick from, but I gather those not listing a salary are likely looking to pay the least amount of money.
They say there is a worker shortage, but from where o am sitting there is no worker shortage, only a shortage of employers who are willing to pay pre Covid wages or better.
No one is going to work themselves to death for barely minimum wage with an employer who is asking them to do more with less.

Let's hope so! I totally agree with you.I think I saved my hen Flash from heatstroke. She was in the coop with 102f hot weather sitting in a laying box.
She wasn’t very responsive, so I carried her in the house with me. Setting one egg in this heat is not worth my hens life.
Every time I go away from home, even for half a day, someone will be hurt or distressed (usually it’s Jaffar the Roo) but this time, Flash. She seems to be coming around. She’s drinking water with electrolytes and sitting under a fan in the living room
I know, it's hot! I'm happy that you saved your hen. We may get some relief later with a tropical rainstorm coming into California soon.I think I saved my hen Flash from heatstroke. She was in the coop with 102f hot weather sitting in a laying box.

I wanted to give a heart for poor SydneyThis development has been caused by current employees seeing their job or a job similar to theirs posted with a higher salary than they are currently being paid. So icky companies have stopped posting salary ranges to be safe. Even worse, by doing this they can pay discriminate and pay people different rates of pay based upon their race, sex, etc.
Perhaps next time you could accuse the company of doing this so they can pay women less for the same work and mention you know lawyers that might find that interesting.
There are laws in the states now that require a salary range be posted with a job. For example, California's went into effect on 1/1/23. I can't believe that Canada does not have that protection.

Poor Sydney is molting. She is down to 1 tail feather.
