Additionally, our policy is to post a salary range and still ask what their salary expectations are. You would be surprised the people who don't read the range and have expectations way beyond what we pay.

More Tax

Just one lone tail feather.

Now that’s just idiotic, if I see a salary range posted and it’s not what I am looking for then I move on.

Poor Sydney, that one tail feather is just too cute 😊

I have 2 broodies and a molter - chiiiickens!

Just had 3 days of 100+ temps and smokey air. Probably would have been 110 monday except for the smoke. It was so bad in our building on tuesday, the crew bosses went around giving permission to leave early, apparently some air vents had been left open monday night.

Anyway just like during our last heat wave, Rosie is broody again. Everyone has been too hot, but doing ok. Kittens are growing and being crazy in between naps.

Broody, but too hot to sit on her fake eggs.

Wow that’s really hot, and miserable with the poor air quality 😟 - I really feel for these broodies, poor things.

(Love the kittens 🥰🥰)

I wanted to give a heart for poor Sydney
❤️

Re: salaries - that’s interesting regarding salary listings being law. As far as I know we do not have any such thing here in Canada.

Another thing that irritates me is asking what your previous salary was. Um sorry that’s none of their business! I just lie now and say it’s the same as they are offering.

Molting Tax
Last October when Sophia was molting, poor Penelope now molting right now

Ya I wake up like that…

I think I saved my hen Flash from heatstroke. She was in the coop with 102f hot weather sitting in a laying box.
She wasn’t very responsive, so I carried her in the house with me. Setting one egg in this heat is not worth my hens life.
I am reading helter skelter, out of order, poor Flash 😟
One legged chook!
ya… just noted that, and was thinking ‘oh Alex isn’t gonna like that!’. 😁

What a wonderful response from THE Queen. It is a good reminder of how the smallest things can make a huge difference and that it applies to both chickens and humans as well. Well written and deeply touching. 💕
Thank you for saying so. You are very sweet.

It is Thirsty Thursday and NONE of my chickens feel the need to drink.
Instead I got this gem. 11 weeks old, and she needs no introductions. Look at that beard growth. That is no longer baby fuzz.
