Now if there was a chook looking at me like that, I would say that that is my chook. Sadly, that is not a chicken and is unfortunately a giraffe and so I would say, no, it is not mine.

@Ponypoor Congratulations on your job. I know it won't be easy when you are away from your chooks but I am sure your chooks and horses will like the money . Maybe I missed it, but when will you be back?

@RebeccaBoyd I hope Rosie has improved.

@rural mouse I hope your family and your in-law family are doing better this week. Sorry you still haven't had a chance to exam Quartz but good to hear that he (she?) is slightly improved.

@knoturavggrl You are probably feeling uneasy with the upcoming surgery but know that we are all here supporting you.

@Gigachad poultry Good luck with rehoming your flock and hope all goes well with new nice coop.

We went to the coast on Friday in an attempt to get away from the smoke. It was better than here, but not as much as we hoped.
As we walked down the trail to one beach I glanced to my right and thought "what is a polish chicken doing here?"

Its a piece of burned driftwood
We found a kelp crab

So I have a question, does anyone have poultry show experience? I really want to go to the next one locally! Or does anyone have photos of their birds at shows?

Sorry, no experience with showing or even attending poultry shows. I was going to go to my first ever as a 'tourist' in November2020..(I found out about the annual show Dec. 2019, and thought I would take my nephew....but then COVID hit, and evidently that show is no more. It was the only one I could find that was relatively close to me)

I am uneasy, but I have survived multiple surgeries so less nervous than I would be otherwise. Thank you so much for the support
