We're all sat at the table at my parent's house looking at the chicken pictures, and mom is pretty sure Kasumi is a boy too.

I am a bit bummed because they're supposed to lay olive eggs so I'll only have two shades of brown ones. Maybe three shades?
You showed pictures of the chickens? Just bring them inside to the table to enjoy dinner too! 🤔😮

The feed store has barred rocks, Hampshire reds, Rhode Island Red’s. They said they would possibly have some EE’s available for me Tuesday. I think it’s time to get more chickens 🐓!
:love:love:love

O ma gosh 😊💕❤️ How eggciting !!!!

Oh I am hoping good thoughts for you on that case 💕

I’m going to have to give this decision much thought 🤔. More chooks, is more love, more eggs, less room, a lot more 💩 poop. ……… Okay, thinking time is over, I gotta get more chooks. I see my doctor on Monday and if she says I’m okay then I’ll get the chooks on Tuesday. !!!!!!!! Unless I change my mind about it
YOU ARE GETTING MORE CHOOKS AND THATS IT!

Ok ask your MD just to make sure but in my experience having pets makes one’s life worth living ❤️💕🥰 and you have a lot to offer your pets in return 😊

Relief 😳

That is the only thing I can say - a huge relief.

I just couldn’t find Wee Marty anywhere, I searched high and low, all over the whole property as I was worried she had escaped when BIL dropped by to unload some cement curb stones.

Behind hay, inside bales, behind boards and buckets and the other various pieces of construction junk here. No Marty 😢

After an hour I had to get some food and pain meds, my back and hips were screaming agony at this point from unloading the cement stones, and moving rocks and then crouching down trying to find Marty.

So my mum took over the hunt while I grabbed a bite and took some meds, I was tops 7 minutes, and in that time mum had her found - I could just bawl with relief. Apparently Marty went and hid in the very top nest box were no one has ever gone as far as I have known.

I didn’t even bother checking there because I have never seen anyone in there, but mum said that she has seen one of the grey ladies in there, so she looked there. And she got pecked for her efforts by Marty.

Well, anyways I was eggstatic that she was found, I thanked mum and we both put the rest of the chooks to bed. A bit earlier than usual but I need to let the meds do their thing for a couple hrs.

I swear these chickens are gonna be the death of me! They are just as stressful as the horses, and just as much work! Who knew chickens could be so much trouble!
