I honestly don't know what the chooks died from. I've been wondering until now. That's some cold weather you got!

If this was last year, we did have that prolonged and very rapid, bitter cold period. I agree about the advice of how to mitigate cold damage for chickens that was given. That said, goodness that period was difficult on my chickens as well not because of the temps but rather the suddenness of the drop we experienced.
I have since reflected on what I could have done differently for them and really I cant think of anything. Hopefully that doesn’t happen again it was not normal for our area at all.

Well, if Kasumi is a boy, they will be renamed to Thane. Since we have to keep the Mass Effect theme going.

Hubby and my mother in law both think Liara is a bit of a b-word. I told them that she wants to be head hen and that's just how pecking order works.

It is very rare for it to snow in this desert, but it has been happening more often in the past few years.
