Will we be laying this fall girls?

The cochin sisters. After a health scare where I thought I would have to loose Grouchy Gryffin. I am happy to report she snapped out of it and is as grouchy as ever.

The darker and bigger of the two she relishes in her nightly ritual of trying to sleep in Russ's stall. She does this knowing I will move her allowing her to partake in her favorite activity. Biting me.
You are hysterical :clap, thanks for a good chuckle before bed

Getting somewhere here, thank you.

The definition of SHRA is not understood correctly by some tax collectors :old Or, the definition should be changed if it is so broad.

Questions of fact versus questions of opinion. As in: "Did Pastel get a new coop?" answered by ten posters. Not particularly useful. Versus "I'm worried about Sylvie, what do you think?" answered by ten posters. The range of answers there or even the agreement between the answers is quite useful.

If the second question is looking for a general consensus, one answer does not satisfy that: If someone agrees with the single answer, how will anyone else know they read it and agreed?

In my opinion, multiple answers to the Sylvie question would not attract SHRA tax unless everyone answers identically without acknowledging prior responses (I agree with xxx), or adding anything such as (in my experience yyy).
But as a broader point, paying tax should not act as a disincentive (who doesn’t want to share fun pictures of their little feathered friends?), but rather give pride that you are able to contribute to society.
I am only talking about FBA taxes of course!!

Look at this on the top of my porch wall . It looks like 💩 to me

I’m pretty sure it holds 6? I had no choice but to buy it. I didn’t even see it until after my mom bought it. I really hope that it does hold more than 2 chooks or I’m gonna throw it in my pond for the little alligator.
I don’t think you need to worry about capacity in the traditional sense, unless you plan on locking them up in there for days. There are people that do that, and thus the square foot requirements to avoid stress. If you offer them enough secure room in other ways then they’ll be fine.

You’re in southern Georgia so you won’t have a blizzard snow you in for a week. I think in terms of square footage your concern will be making enough secure shady room elsewhere in summer so they can be cool and not crowded together during the day, and making sure at night that they have enough ventilation in that coop for good air circulation, if it can’t ventilate well the air will be too warm and moist.
