All the bantam hens are moulting, except it seems for Bracket. The more I watch Bracket the more she makes me laugh. She lives in a different world to the others.
Rivit is taking the moult the hardest. It's her first serious moult. Tack is going blond!
It looks like Lock is going to grow dark tail feathers like Bracket. It's her first serious moult but she doesn't seem at all put out by it.
Lots of molting at your place!

My current molters are Bridge, who is tailless at the moment, Cashew, who left a pile of feathers is her dust bath, Ruby, who is still on hormones, and Millie, who was still squatting up until a couple days ago, despite her molt. The chicks are feathering in nicely, but also have some bald patches.

Happy Fall Friday

Since spring has started for all of our Aussie friends, I thought that I would add a fall theme to today's photo and Sansa was more than happy to oblige. The leaves are starting to drop off the magnolia tree already.

I caught Lilly in the same patch of sun and she was absolutely iridescent! 😍

Peaceful

There is this time in the morning where the flock goes quiet. It used to be coffee clatch time with the Ned and Lucky. It is happening right now. They all just stop moving about and rest. Sansa and Sydney are purring behind my chair. It is simply a special time to be with them. 🥰
