Wow what a week and it is only Thursday. Hospice is amazing and those people are angels. We have had a visit every single day during the "setting up" phase. Today the nurse aid came out early this morning to assist with bathing grandma. Not one single complaint, not one. Bathing has been one of the biggest battles as she does not want to do it, always trying to put it off until the next day. I did not get my chicken time as she was here at 8:30 am and there was still a huge frost on the ground. I loved the nurse aid though, Bubba was pulling his usual winter stunt of staying on the roost until the frost was gone. She spotted him through the window and gushed over him. She is a chicken person and she called Bubba one of the prettiest roo's she has saw. She snapped a picture of him with my permission. She is taking to show her husband and to increase her demands she needs chickens. She said they had cows and they had pigs, she would have chickens if it killed her. She also spotted Grandma's quilt tops and the two of them talked forever about quilts and quilting. 2 hours after she left the Chaplin came for a visit. After he talked to me and mom for about 20 minutes he went in and sat with grandma for a good 30 minutes. We also now have the new compression mattress. That in itself is a godsend. She loves it and says she has never been so comfortable in the hospital bed. Not once is almost 24 hours has she hollered out crying something was hurting and we had to turn her. The shocking thing, she agreed and is happy, happy mind you that the nurse aids will be out 3 times a week starting next week :th . I really thought today would be a 1 and done event. A big part of this I do believe is she is having new people to talk to that are not me and mom. Whatever it is, she is happy. She has been thankful for what they have done this week and is cooperating.
I am so glad it is going well. :hugs

I edited the text in the picture to make it easier to try and figure out where I am.

Yeah it's super windy. Calm for a few minutes and then a big blast of wind.
Oh so you WANT me to find where you took the pic, okay....

I am finally home and it is Thirsty Thursday

It was an eventful trip involving a 24 hour period where I couldn’t open my eyes without vomiting and also this

And with storms in the UK and the East Coast of the US, flying home from Heathrow was a bit bumpy!

It was a good visit but I am exhausted!

This video is from Sunday while I was still away and the snow had blown in to the Chicken Palace. The Princesses appreciate a frozen treat now and then it seems!

I crawled into bed after I got home last night and was immediately snuggled by purring cats, and now the sun is out and I am sitting outside having a conversation with the Princesses.
It is still only Babs and Piglet laying any eggs.

I have more or less been keeping up here but didn’t always have good reception so couldn’t always react or post. Apologies, I didn’t mean to be rude.

And I shouldn’t forget the cutest thing. While I was away the guy fixing gutters in the barn here asked if he could let the chickens out to play and I said yes. He then texted me all excited because Tassels jumped on his lap to see if he had anything good to share!
🥰
Awwwww! What a wonderful treat for him 😊💕

Gosh I am so sorry you where not well for a whole day 😳 and I tried to read the note on the car’s window but all I made out was ‘broke down’ 😳

Anyways I am glad you’re home safe and sound. Welcome back!
