That’s Tassels. She is about to jump up and tweak my nose. It is a bit out of focus because I was instinctively backing away to protect my face.
She is a handful that one!

These days Butterscotch is my handful one, not sure why she is so determined to find a new nesting location, she better not be going broody! She has been up in the gap between the beams in the barn, I enclosed the gaps in the Summer House to keep raccoons out didn’t figure I would need to keep chooks on the inside out of the gap it creates!

And she has also been checking out the gap in the one over the Hen House A wall. She can’t get up into the loft but if she became stuck or laid a ton of eggs up there it would be hard to get to them.

It’s still raining. The chooks are fine locked up in the coop. I built them a darn good coop! Pretty dry in there. They will complain about it but so what, we both could use a break from yard work.

Ya my gang does that also - ends up kicking the straw everywhere. What a mess they make. But they have fun doing it!

This morning they were ‘helping’ with the stalls

The deep straw the coop is providing entertainment. I keep throwing cracked corn into it. Sydney was having a good time digging up treasure.
