I am definitely waiting for it, because I know how clumsy I am!
She had a good nap and then wanted a big lunch. Her fever also broke so I'm wondering if she had a lot of sinus drainage and that made her throw up. I used to have that problem as a kid.

And he looooved the egg! Shell and all!

maybe he is really a chicken. Hahaha, sounds like my gang, I give my dented and broke eggs to the chooks, I put the egg contents in their porridge bowl and the shell gets flattened and tossed to the back of the barn - yeehaa! Free for all.

I don’t want them associating the egg shell and contents together.

Yesterday I had 4 eggs in my pocket and I went to hop up onto the stall wall and take a peak at the top of a straw bale, then I remembered the eggs I had JUST put in my pocket - duh! Hahaha- that was a close one!

(Kids- they are always sick with something or other it seems!)

I am not clumsy, but I do take too many risks and don’t take the time to do things right, yesterday I fell off the stairs to the hayloft, I only had them hauled out partway and they slid causing me to fall/jump off them, banged up my knee and wrenched my already aching elbow (thankfully I didn’t have any eggs in my pockets ).

What a happy rooster he is.

I’m taking my elderly neighbor to the doctor today. She can’t get around too easily. (And my car is more comfortable)

I just got back from town. The neighbor is going to need X-rays for her condition. I already called her insurance company and they will supply her with transportation.

Does she act like she is in pain, or just sound so? (I'm thinking like some people I know - who will remain unnamed - who just 'have to grunt' when going to the bathroom. When asked, no they weren't in pain, it 'just helps them push better' )

How would one know by behavior if there was pain in egg laying?
She breathes hard, and sort of huffs with each push, then does a long drawn out push while she makes the sound. It’s a lot like human labor! She does not act like she needs to recover afterwards, she doesn’t hunch or stay in the nestbox.
