They are not French hens. This is a French hen.I don't see any purple corn on either chair. Sydney must have not only taught her offspring well - but the rest of the younger crew, too!
And, I see you put some lounge chairs out just for the girls! How nice of you!! Too bad it wasn't sunnier - so they could lounge in the sun.
Oh, la, la. Two 'well endowed' ladies. So much fluff!![]()
My Pet Chicken is where Hattie came from. Here are the chicks they have right now for order.@BY Bob , Don't you have a Jubilee Orpington? I'm looking to have an all Orpington flock, possibly this year, and It includes Chocolate Orpingtons and Jubilee Orpingtons. Unfortunately, 90 dollars for three hens and shipping from Cackle is more than I am willing to pay. Any ideas for more budget friendly sellers?
Hooray!!!! 1st egg!Oh

I think this means 5 girls are laying. Shep the marans is the odd one out. Still not sure if Liara or Morinth lays the pale green eggs.

Made egg, pulled pork, and cheese sandwiches for dinner. It feels so good to go out, get an egg, then immediately cook it for dinner!
Wonderful!Twofer Tuesday

Much better on the Chocolate Orpingtons! I'll definitely get some from there! Probably a Buff or two as well, but I can get Lavenders cheaper elsewhere. Shipping costs may be lower for Jubilee, I will weigh my options. My Pet Chicken is where Hattie came from. Here are the chicks they have right now for order.

Good for you!Have Jaffar make it so all factory hens are treated fairly. I’m doing that Poultry Eval comp. again this year. The one with the hens who were abused? Yep. I’m hoping that I can talk some people into treating them better. I wish that I could take them home with me. I’d offer them $100 a hen, or more if needed.
Glad I could help.Much better on the Chocolate Orpingtons! I'll definitely get some from there! Probably a Buff or two as well, but I can get Lavenders cheaper elsewhere. Shipping costs may be lower for Jubilee, I will weigh my options.![]()
