I would rub my toddler’s teeth for hours. Biting did occur but I was fast enough not to get hurt.
Yep, rub an ice cube til my finger got cold, rub the gum. Back and forth until she relaxed and asked for a teether instead. My mom thinks that might have been what made her feel so sick earlier this week, I'm not sure. But I'm giving her extra grace to be cranky and need more cuddles regardless.

Mum said she was told rub rum on it! That's what her parents used for her teething. 😬
I guess I teethed on pickles and beef jerky, because I would want them from the big containers at the store they worked at. And those rings with water that they used to put in the freezer...my pediatrician says nowadays just refrigerate them since the freezer will get too cold.

Sometimes we would use a frozen banana (somewhat defrosted) for my son’s teething.
