The Storms of Summer are here
Lightning flashing right above my head right now. There has been a break in some of the worst impromptu monsoon rain that this valley has ever gotten. The adult chickens are in the coop roosting, but the juveniles are acting like nothing is happening.

No wonder the storms moved from here.

Do you want me to stop rain dancing now? I brought the rain, because you were complaining about how dry and hot it was there. I’d like to stop now, because my legs are tired and, I look silly with this tinfoil wrapped around my head!

Bert

Will need to be rehomed.

He and Mr P got into a huge brawl, I let it go until Mr P got hung up trying to get away running under the wheelbarrow, Bert wouldn’t let him go.

I threw Bert in the Hen House to ‘get a grip’. After a bit I let him out, and then they started up again.

I put Mr P in the Hen House ‘A’ with some of his harem closed that door, and closed the outer door so they could fight through the door.

There is no way I will risk Mr P he is not a young Roo, there is no way I will lock them up all the time. I will need to rehome Bert. As much as it makes me sad and upset this is what I need to do.

This brings to the forefront what to do with Mr LC. He is already getting feisty, I also do not want to have to lock him away all the time. And then there are the silkie chicks, my luck both Roos. Maybe I should do the dna test and get them rehomed while they are cute and small 😢

And now there is Shorley to deal with. 😣
I'm so very sorry. This is very disappointing.

I'm sure you'll make the right decision. Mr. P has to be kept 💯 safe!
Unless you could separate the two there's no other way. :hugs

He has been stellar until today. Not sure what set him off but I cannot keep him, I just posted the Ad in kijiji.

I will not let him go just anywhere. But he will need to be rehomed.

Ok all I am doing chores and heading to bed I am just upset and grumpy. Hopefully next week will be a better week.

♥️

Yes extremely.

This morning I let everyone loose from the hen houses and they went right back at it.

Mr P is in the Summer House with his old girls, they wanted in with him so o let them in. Penelope, Blanche, all 4 silkies and of course Curly’s babies.

Mr LC bit me this morning
when I went to snuggle him, no more snuggling with him I guess. He is growing up. Those OEGB chicks were hatched 13 May. They are now 9 weeks (2 months).

Mugshot Monday
Very up-close.
