That is good news.
I would still consult a lawyer. And you should contact the School Board about what the Principal said.

Bringing formal complaints about school administrators to the inner circles of school boards, PTAs, sometimes even local city councils who are prone to dismiss complainants, excuse complaints as misdirected and that parents need to go to different agencies to pursue resolution (the old run-around ~ not our job excuse!).

This type of problem needs outside media attention if there are any honest ones w/guts left to report on it? If nothing more it would inform other parents about the problem w/school administrators~ provided it is not done slanderously.

I would have recorded or cell phone video'd the principal's meeting. So many crooked people in positions of authority & govt these days!

We played phone tag with the county attorney's office, sheriffs office and county clerks office this afternoon to get the information needed to bring up charges. The county attorney's office had already heard about the fight. We finally got to speak to the right person and we were emailed what we needed to fill out to take to them. They just called back with wonderful news. We have to do NOTHING!! The sheriff who is at the school just filed charges against her for assault personally. They could not tell us more where the girl is a minor but she said this was the best thing that could happen. This has more pull then if I and the boys parents had filed personally. She did recommend we at least consult with a lawyer as we were planning on doing as well.

Some good news. I like it.

Phew. The great egg heist was actually Pooh being clumsy when she broke into my storage area.
Tassels’ egg fell to the floor and broke.
Calypso swooped in and grabbed it and ran before Pooh could figure out how to get down from the shelf.
Not so much an egg-eater as a burglar.

This is a fire-able offense in my book. You need to take this quote to each school board member. The principal needs to answer for this.

It is their job, J O B , to see to your child's education and success. They should not be discouraging excellence but encouraging it and feeding the desire with whatever assistance they can provide. They have the absolute wrong attitude for someone in that position of power.

The offending board. It's at my parent's house so thankfully dad will get it fixed right up ASAP. Hubby made me put a knee brace on and now that I'm done with chores for a while I will rest it up on the beanbag.

Agreed - seems this Principle needs to re-evaluate why he went into education.
