She is very agile. I had to laugh this morning. She was on the footstool and went to stretch her wings and wound up taking flight somehow. She went straight up and landed startled on the ground. Scared the crap out of me and her. 😆
I love it when Beetov-Hen stretches her wings out. (I get to see more gold than Fort Knox)

Alarm!

Sadly, I do not have video but tonight I was sitting out in Aurora's new chair when the first of two hawks flew over the house. Hattie made the same low sound only as I caught in the video only a clipped a little short. Everyone froze. That hawk was followed by a second hawk. Hattie made the exact same sound again. The second hawk circled back while being chased by crows. The same sound again.

I think I now know the sound for an aerial predator.

I had been hearing the scree of a red trailed hawk earlier in the day. I told Hattie to be on the watch for them. 🔭 I'm glad she followed my advice. 😁
You need to expalin to Hattie that she and the rest must head for cover!

So I took Tegan to see Dr Kevin after work today. I got home and thought she sounded a bit more like herself, but when I gave her a blueberry, she made high-pitched noises that sounded between a cough and a sneeze. So I popped her in the pet carrier and took her the surgery, the one 25 minutes away, not 5 minutes away. We got straight in and Dr Kevin listened to her lungs and looked down her throat. He thought she doesn’t have fluid on her lungs but might have an inflammation in her throat. He didn’t think antibiotics or anti-inflammatories were necessary, but I just need to watch her over the next couple of days. When I got home she chowed down on the layer feed and wandered around for a bit before settling into bed.
