Hooo boy, we have some idiots here šŸ˜†
Let's just say the new boys will be seperated, and Ric Flair has the hens as backup. He is doing a great job defending the pullets.

Nocturne laid an egg, a pointy tan one. I gave it to Fenix as a reward for not chasing the neighbor dog. I should have brought my phone out for morning chores. Thankfully I have some extra cages and spaces to stash hormonal idiots until their appointment with fate.

And of course I need to get things set up for my incoming fancy lad!!!

Hello peeps. My flu has really kicked me out of action this week.
Last night was my first night of full sleep and I feel better today.
The young girls are all starting to lay eggs. The Rockettes are in different stages of molt. The roosters are getting bigger every day. I’m glad to hear that Bob’s little rooster is taking a road trip, and I wish him well. Marie’s Princess is looking fine today. All the birds I’ve seen are looking good today.

I just let my chooks out and everyone seems happy and energetic. I was worried that Dakota might have been sick, but she survived. She was nauseous on Tuesday, but so was I.

Okay
That explains why I didn't know him. I never watched Star Wars. Its was never my cup of tea
In 1977 we saw the first Star Wars 7 times! We took friends or relatives w/us each time! & we went to the theatre for every sequel thereafter. Our son loved it, little girl not so much unless it had animals in it ~ Jar-Jar was the only nearly recognizable animal to her

They are all looking wonderful, are any of your moulting yet?
The littles have been moulting continuously for months, but so far only gentle moulting for the australorps. Rosie hasn't shown any sign yet. This last week our night temps have dropped 5-10 degrees and the days have shortened noticeably. I am guessing there will be more feathers around soon.

What would work? I can check later today if we have anything.
I have used Amoxicillin- 250mg twice a day for 7 days for Sharpie when she had her retained egg issue.

I also gave her 1/2 a low dose aspirin at night for 5 days, for any further issues with inflammation.

I must be missing something? Why would you give her antibiotics? I may have missed it, but I thought she managed to get the egg out. The worry with giving antibiotics if they are not needed is they may be less effective when you do need them.
Sorry if I have misunderstood the situation.
