I haven’t seen a hawk in a couple days. Hopefully they have all gone south now. Then all I will have to worry about is the bald eagle hanging around, and the odd over-wintering hawk.

Haven’t see a snowy owl in a while so this might be a year for them. But I feel they would be more interested in squirrels than a chicken as big as they are.

Once the Turkey Vultures get back in the spring it will be more safe here from hawks.

That sounds like good news.

I sure got a ration of complaints from the chooks when I got home!
Dog gone roosters start fighting as soon as I let them out of the run!
I shouldn’t have to deal with such abuse from those guys!

And really do need to deal with Rosario and shorty though. They are too big and rough even for the big hens.

I need to rehome Bert too.

Sometimes the dynamic changes simply be removing some. Try removing Shortly and Rosario and see if Bert and Mr P get along again.

Nope. I even thought of just them no ladies. Darn boys still went at it. I really have no idea why one moment they were fine together and the next they were dueling pistols at 40 paces!
