Very interesting.
Thank you for sharing that.
I need to look back at my chicken history book to see what it has to say about American chickens.
I gave up tracing breed histories too far back. Many documentations say they are correct yet can conflict w/one another. I just go back to about 1900 onward since so many breeds before then have gone thru many changes + standards & appearances differ in other countries.

They can be very smart when you spend sweet quiet times w/them. They learned from you & they also let you know what they want too.

I posted this before ~ DH has this ritual w/Ginny since she was a chick.

Also, Dana the Dominique waits at the back door every night for DH to walk her to the coop & she won't enter it until all 5 Silkies have gone up first.
Well he sure is well trained isn’t he?! 😊

i thought these Brahmas were beauties! Alas! I don't have room for all the birds I want!

I’ll take one pullet of each SVP ♥️😊

I am with you. I too got close to quitting over it but I think @BY Bob has created something special at FBA and I don’t want to abandon him.
Hang in there. Lots of lovely chickens to talk about!

Ohhh, that picture is 'black and white'
