Goodness - that doesn't look right! There is a condition called wry tail - I don't know if it looks like that or not.
Wry tail is something a bird is born with. Versace has had a straight tail all the while. His tail feathers were so long that it's not beyond speculation his feathers broke in a crowded roost as SimpleJenn believes. But then, only time will tell.

Yes. Mostly. But the cause can be genetic (nothing to be done) or a vitamin deficiency (which you can cure).

Goodness, if all my pics were to store on CD's I'd need 3 walls of shelves to store the CD's ~ teehee!

DH had to get me a 2TB compact external laptop drive to store photos after copying from the pocket or Canon camera Sandisks plus we have Carbonite backup of photos.

Personal preference I don't use Cloud. I like having internal privacy control of my photos to pick & choose what gets internet posted ~ especially when I have to search thru folks & mine antique pics, kids growing up pics & wedding pics, vacation pics, house remodeling pics, yard remodeling pics, chicken pics, etc.

We had to go thru Legacy Box to convert a shoebox full of old 1960's slides onto a CD to copy onto my external photo storage. All hard copy antique photos are given away to friends & family & new pics from Sandisk cameras are stored in one zip folder. No cumbersome old-fashioned photo albums or CD's or old floppies to store any more!

But there is something to be said about those old photos ♥️ To hold them, and think of the others who have held them. Wonderful.

Ruth seemed to want her photo taken 😊

Hi BG,

Had a spike Saturday after breakfast that bout knocked me out. Made a visit to the ER and got a shot of insulin. Relayed this thru the patient portal and have yet to hear from my Dr. Scheduled an appointment Thursday so he can't duck and dodge me forever. 😒

Hope all is well with you and your tribe ❤️
Gosh hope he can get those numbers under control.

Meanwhile I have to tell you about my OEGB bantams - they are so adorable and sassy!

And the little pullet started laying eggs last week. Teeny tiny eggs 😊

Alex, that's affirmative for now. My glucose is 3 times what it should be. Once I'm in control of it I can have a couple Miller Lites on a regular basis.
Hope you get it under control asap. It can be tricky for sure.
Wishing you all the best with that. It isn’t something to be messed with.

Hi Kelly,

I love bantams and there cute little eggs. I think we have more bantams than big chickens now. Here's a picture of a few of our bigger chickens. Not too many outside today. There's a lot of wind from the incoming front.

Just ensure your external drive is from a reputable brand like WD, Seagate, or Samsung.

I don't like the cloud either. I have a network drive and I back my photos up to that as well as a offline drive.

If you've got any CDs you haven't copied off yet, you should do it, especially because older CDs will start deteriorating as they don't last forever.
My DH & his techy friend who works IT for his local school district consult w/@other on best/newest brands before investing. In fact, technology boggles my mind & if not for DH I wouldn't even have a laptop or cellphone today! I didn't even know how to use my VHS years ago! In fact, I was such a dunce I told DH (we were students in the same college class) that my VHS was broken. The rest is history. I keep relying on his tech knowledge to this day. I mean, he goes back to the days of Radio Shack TSR80 & Tandy1000 plus he's worked building computers in companies no longer around & worked Earthlink & Verizon✅

All floppies/CDs are loaded/copied & Carbonite backed. I'm not worried about newer photos as they are on Sandisks & as you know are compact to store in a zip folder. It's my hardcopy antique photos I duplicated that are the most worrisome to lose on computer but I have the external hardrive plus Carbonite backup to rely on. I don't trust anything electronic or computerized but I figure once I die no one left are going to care about the antiquated pics or even know who's in them :lau

His feathers are intact, it is the tail itself drooping to the side. Like I said before, he's usually carrying it down and only perks it up once in a while. I've been tucking it to the side because otherwise it hangs out the coop door when I close them in for bed. So I think I injured it last night accidentally.

It's not as drooped this afternoon. 20241104_132610.jpg

Beautiful shady old trees! I never think of TX having a lot of trees so this is a treat!
