And I think my Patches and Silver are Sapphire Olive Eggers. Not sure what colour they are laying though.Browsing through Hoover's brown egg layers, they have in red tones:
RIR
Production Red
Buckeye
Red Star
Rainbow
Cinnamon Queen
Partridge Plymouth Rock
Partridge Chantecler
Partridge Cochin
The partridges and the Buckeye can all be eliminated due to the chevrons on the feathers, comb type, feathered feet type traits.
Rainbow has to stay on the maybe list due to anything goes, but is unlikely as it usually has a straight comb.
RIR, Red Star, Production Red, and Cinnamon Queen are all VERY similar with the RIR being the darkest (by just a smidge). The description of the CQ does state they can be straight or rose combed. That makes it the most likely at the moment, with Production Red being next on the list (no genetic history is provided)
