Thanks 🙏. He really was a great rooster. Very tame and smart
I know it isn't realistic, but in my mind I think, maybe he decided to go spread love and joy to another family somewhere 🥺

That's what I've held onto since my cat from when I lived in AZ with my bf disappeared years ago. I know that realistically with all of the dangers of the desert he probably met his end... But he was such a sweet, smart, loving cat that I tell myself, somebody fell in love with him when they spotted him on the street and took him home.

Couldn't sleep last night so I got planning.
I'll share a picture after my dad edits my plan into a blueprint. :) it'll be a perfect tiny coop and run for babies. I even have a spot picked out right next to my porch where we can put it. Think, those tiny coops you find on amazon, but built of REAL wood, and set up especially for growing chicks.
Sounds eggciting! Can’t wait to see them.

Have you posted photos around? Or just drive around looking for him?
Posted pictures and reward for his return. I also posted a comment in the local newspaper to run for a week. No response from anyone. The whole town knows that I’m looking for him. Even the sheriff’s department is looking

Gosh! How did she get out I wonder? I sure hope she’s ok, good call on drying her off. They are really fluffy so hopefully she will have all that fluff to help keep her warm.
She's ok this morning. I don't know how she got out, my blue egg layer BYM Torrent also got out. She was walking around on top of the covered run. I had one of my cats with me so I put him on the roof of the run next to Torrent and she flew right off. The Lavender Orpington was found next to the run and did not try to run away, too cold I guess. When chickens are wet, fluff does not make much of a difference, so I dried her off. Even though it was only 0 degrees (Celsius) yesterday, it would still cool her off.

You must have to be a very resourceful person living so far from everywhere...do you have any nearby goodly neighbors around you?
On my road, there are 7 plots of land (one of which I live on). Three of them belong to some neighbors which I don't know really well, but one of them sold me hatching eggs at one point. Then there is a very cranky neighbor down the road who I don't really talk to either. The property next to me, the owner does not live on it, so I am being a good neighbor and feeding and watering his cows and horses. (That's the neighbor that owns Juice and Beauty, the pony and horse. Since they have been moved to the cows' pen, Beauty has got to be a real terror. She bites the cows' rumps and chases Juice around.) And then there's the land at the end of the road. I don't really know the people that own it, or even what's on it. My road is a dead end, and the path that is beyond it is a private road.
In short, I only have one good neighbor. The rest of them just mind their own business or tell me if a big cat is roaming around.
