She is now back in the big coop. Her craw was empty, not necessarily surprising, she had been roosted for over 3 hours. But I felt bad and so I brought her in the big house for a quick snack.

I really don't know? It's funny that she was missing. She could have been laying an egg?

Thank you. I'll be finishing up the run security over the next few days. There really isn't much more I can do to secure it but I will be doing those few things. I also am planning to add a roost that is too small for anyone else.

I like how you volunteer Rich the way Mrs BY Bob volunteers me.

You are very sweet and if it was real serious and I could not get there I would most certainly take you up on the offer.

A few more run improvements and it will only be slightly less safe than the coop. I made all of the major improvements after Maleficent's demise. Once they are done, I'll be able to relax a little (I hope) and work on behavior modification with Aurora.

Swimming Silkies

Check this out! It Apsara they choose to do it and we're doing it for several hours without drowning or suffering hypothermia. It does look like they have a walk up area in their pool which is very shallow which would enable them to get in and out on their own.

Observations

I have been reading and hanging with the girls all day. I have notice 2 new behaviors and I'm not sure what to make of them completely. They involve Aurora and Phyllis individually

Phyllis has started to tidbit for the flock. I'm not certain what it is she finds but she called everyone at least 4 times this morning. Is she trying to make friends? I've seen both Hattie and Lilly respond to her tidbitting.

Now for Aurora. We had a strange moment today where after having laid her egg, Aurora walked over to where I was sitting, made some vocalizations, and nest built while standing next to my chair and looking at me after she placed each leaf on her back. I have no idea what this might mean.

What does everyone think?
