I have a bit of news.
I'm setting Chantecler, my BYMs, and Cream Brabanter for the Easter hatch-along!
Six Chantecler eggs are in the incubator, 3 Cream Brabanter, and the rest BYM. I would like some advice on what to do about loose air sacs. Six of the Chanteclers got loose air sacs and I can't set them like that, and I also can't incubate them with the fat end up because my incubator only has holders that are horizontal. I would have had a dozen Chantecler if the person who shipped them had actually wrapped the eggs up. They were bouncing the entire way. Have any of you been dealing with this and what did you do about it?

Everyone say hello to 2 new members of the FBA community!

The breeder let us know their were day-olds available last night at 8 pm. I spoke to them this morning at 8:30. The place was 90 minutes away by car. When we got there there were 5 left. These two appear to be pullets, fingers crossed. They are Polish barnyard mixes. I have no idea what they will look like when they grow up.

They have applied themselves to trying to jump up on the top of their heater.

Everyone say hello to little Nimue. The first to make it to the top.

Or it's a spur? Or a dew claw? Maybe we should classify dogs under the dinosaur umbrella too .

Just about every creature has 2 legs, 2 eyes, 2 nostrils, one mouth, 2 ears, 2 upper appendages either as arms, legs, or wings, etc... maybe classify us all as just living creatures...

Personally I'm glad there's no more giant creatures. & some are trying to reconstitute a Mastadon's DNA!

Wish I could help. When I incubated shipped eggs, I just added every one into the incubator that hadn't broken on the way. However, they traveled from Florida to Washington, and all but one didn't make it in the end. It was too much jostling. I hope yours work out better. I only incubate my own eggs now, if I have to do it at all. Waiting for one of my gals to go broody, and in the meantime picked up 3 chicks to keep the flock going.

Someone on here will know just what to do. I'm hoping for the best possible outcome for you!!!

I’m starting to rethink that idea. They are jungle fowl breed. Aggressive birds that have been bred for cock fighting, and good at fighting too! But I’m still just thinking about how all of the birds might Get along well or not.

Only part game birds. So I would think your fine. And you don’t bait them to fight so I think you should be fine.

Darn it - I didn't even notice my foot.
I really am hopeless. Trouble is I have one hand on the phone and one hand trying to fend off the monsters who expect treats.
