Pretty much everything we eat is GMO. Anything that's different from how it originally grew/evolved is GMO. Yellow corn is GMO, any tomato other than heirloom is GMO, heck, our chickens are GMO!

GMO isn't anything scary or unhealthy, it just means we selectively bred for looks, flavor, size, etc. ;)
I'm going to ask that we not debate GMO here on the thread. Chicken talk please.

Reminder

This is a chicken thread, pictures, stories, etc. I do not want politics here, I don't want hot topics here, I don't want lifestyle debates, I don't want debates on what humans eat.

Let's stick to chickens.

As an example, we did not debate Covid, masking, lock downs, anything like that.

If you see something not chicken related to which you feel the need to respond, then start a different thread, post a link, and take your debate "outside".

There is so much going on here that I can't keep up now. I don't need debates elongating the thread and making people angry.

Thanks everyone.

And you know what I like! Wattles, zebra stripes and babies ♥️

These animals are going to drive me bonkers. Red, Truly and now Curly. I dread going home some days.

Hopefully I won’t have to drain her abdomen, but if I do so be it. If so I’ll try to video the procedure. It’s not rocket science but if you haven’t done it before it can be a bit scary.
It would be very handy to have a reference video. Thank you.

Wattle you have today Shirley?

Gosh he is such a lovely boy. And quiet so far! Except for that real manly crow of his! I really need to get cracking on a new home for him.

Not sure why his comb gets black tips at times, I feel that when he is active the extra blood must return to his vital organs so the comb lacks enough O2.
He really is magnificent!
