Angel really does have the lavender color going. What a darling!

I'd like to see more pics of the laced birds. If I recall Sebrights correctly, they're "hen feathered" meaning they don't get the pointy hackle and saddle feathers nor the larger tail feathers of other breeds roos. (If I'm NOT recalling correctly, then it's a different bantam breed that does that).

Irritating the feed store told you that they had silkies....unless they sold most between the call and your arrival.
I believe you are correct about Sebrights being hen feathered. Here are more pics of the laced birds I took today.

Mystery grey chick, “Pearl”. Splash something? Legs seem to be turning gray or green. I can’t remember what breeds TSC was supposed to have they say that would be that color. I think it was blue Jersey Giants and Wyandottes, or maybe Sapphire

This chick looks just like my two “sapphire splashes” they started out light grey like that with a little yellowing at around the neck but now they are mostly silvery grey with black flecks and those greenish grey legs. This is a pic of the smaller one of mine at 7 weeks old. The other might be a rooster!

She might negotiate a trade w/you if she has that many blue chicks:fl
I'm sure she would if I asked. I cannot ask though. She has her grandkids in and they are witnessing the hatch and claiming their favorites. The grandkids have helped her "babysit" the incubator throughout the entire process. I will not take away a chick from a child just because I did not hatch out that color myself. I swear and standby that children and silkies go hand in hand. Those little dumplings will have the best life with those kids.

If I do not get any blues this time around, I know it is possible. I can just try again. I will get them eventually. My little dumplings that I keep to rear will also be spoiled rotten. I plan to wait a week until they are stronger and then my little neighbor Vivian will be welcome to come visit with them and help spoil them. I have turned her into a little chicken lover. She has not had the chance yet to play with any of my babies so it will be a treat for her.
