Today is honey harvest day. I’m taking a break. First though I got to move my hives down from some too high sawhorses to a stand my boyfriend welded for me. I need to go clean up out there later, but there were so many grumpy bees by the time I robbed and moved their hives I decided to wait.

Extraction is so fun, but it is hard work, especially if you're moving hives! The stands look great.

We ran out of jars. We have 48 13.5 oz hex jars filled, and still 1/3 of what we harvested in the bucket. We estimated 50+ lbs. (We forgot to borrow the hanging scale from work so not 100% sure. It was only 16 frames . More than what I expected for my first time! Took all day.

That's so awesome. We had 42lbs off of 13 frames. It took us most of the day too. I'm just gifting 6oz jars this year. Next year we might try to sell some.

My crafter brain has taken over!

I was told $45 was too much at the swap meet so I honestly don't know what to charge anymore!

I encountered a crocheter who charged something like a penny a stitch. That I can figure out for a price. How long did I work on it? Even with a timer, I couldn't tell you.
