I have moved Tassels and her babies into the Chicken Palace. I will keep them confined in the dog crate for 24 hours and then let them out to explore.
It wasn't the easiest thing to move the dog crate with its occupants from the garage, so I had to improvise.

Tassels made it known that my driving of the carriage left something to be desired (bit of a bumpy ride) but she calmed right down when she realized she was back home in the Chicken Palace.

The Littles are very energetic and although I miss their little peep-peep sounds in my bathroom, I am glad Tassels is now in charge!
The video was so sweet. I love the sounds the mamas make talking to their chicks.

Happy Monday

Nimue fell into the deep end of the pool today. Fortunately, she is very used to riding on my arm. I was able to reach her and she got up onto my arm and I lifted her out.

I dried her off with a towel and I sat down in a chair in the morning sun. Nimue roosted on my leg and proceeded to talk my ear off. 20 minutes she stood there yacking away.

There must have been a lot to say.

Niamh hung around for a while and once she knew Nimue was OK and not wanting to get down, she would wander off and then return.

After 20 minutes Nimue was apparently done with me (was it a list of complaints? I have no idea sadly) and hoped down to get on with her day.

I don't want her jumping in the pool but it was a great 20 minutes. Best I've had in some time. :love

This needs a heart, a hug, and an 'oh my gosh' symbol!

So glad you were there to help her out of the pool!

Mrs BY Bob saw her fall in and screamed for me to come. Trust me I was moving.

Every other chicken was upset running around squawking. Only Nimue was calm, quietly floating in the pool.

I know right? Miss those sounds - maybe I’ll have some mamas of my own again…..

Georgie what are you doing out off that nest box - go back and keep your daughter company!
