Damn! My girls hate having their pictures taken, and they refuse to pose. As soon as they see me aim the camera at them they turn around or run behind another chicken or object.
I got no eggs, and no pictures! Grrr! :rant:idunno
They need to be trained. Or go take roosted photos. They will love the flash! 😆 🤣

It could very well be, depending on the parents. I can think of certain extremist religious groups with fairly concerning beliefs, or you could use some modern cults as an example.
Look up "the family" in Australia. Horrific indoctrination of adopted children by parents. Warning: I used the word horrific with all its meaning.

It's that other chicken.

Oh yes, I can see you most definitely have kept sheep!
You forgot mastitis, panic charges and sheeps unrine seems more corrosive than cecal poop!
And the joys of giving them selenium shots to prevent birth defects, wrestling with them in the rain and mud, and their tendency to pee in your boots whilst you’re doing this... I am so thankful to be in the family’s bad books and not invited to participate in all these fun activities! Whenever I see one in distress, though I will help it, despite my dislike of them and general bad feelings towards me from DH’s family.

I hear you but you're a skilled educator with a degree in literature. How many Australian children have such a mother? The vast minority. I get that you made the best choice for your kids but other families do not have a Ribh. Do we have a responsibility to consider everyone's needs? In SA, i think the publuc sentiment is 'yes' and that means funding the schools to support the learning of kids from challenging families. I don't mind parents taking their kids out as long as they continue to support the public schools somehow, even if its simply talking them up instead of down.

She is such a beauty. She looks mean in this photo though. Was she heading after someone?
