I sit here sincerely worried about how all of this is going to play out. At times I am fretting myself so much that Mrs BY Bob is asking me what is wrong as it is plain on my face. It is funny how much this turmoil in the flock is bothering me. I need to have faith that they will work it out. Your mind just goes to the worst possible outcome.

I understand. It's hard put it out of your mind and not worry. I tend to run things over and over in my head. It's not good but it seems I'm wired that way. I feel for you and hope for the best.

Don't go there Bob. They may just sort it out. Maybe when Aurora is done molting things will calm down.

It looks to me like Lily (the dark chicken) actually is trying to break it up, and does so by beating back one and pecking over her at the other

How distressing to watch! I haven't read ahead, but it looks to me like Lily (the dark chicken) actually is trying to find a way in to break it up, and does so at about :34 by beating back the white chicken (Hattie?) and pecking over her back at the Lavender chicken (Aurora? I'm so sorry but I mix them up). She succeeds there.

Aurora is the cream colored Easter Egger

Lilly is the black hen of unknown breed

Thank you for straightening me out. Partly I've not learned well b/c the night pictures & videos in black & white - those two look similar, all glowing in the dark. I know Sansa and Phyllis though! Another stress there for me was noticing seemingly upset Phyllis was during that fight.

Sydney was gone. She hid in the big run. Phyllis did seem distressed by it all.

So you guys have been busy and I think I still have 20 pages to catch up, but I hope it’s ok if I share anyway. I am sooooo happy to be on break. Went for a jog/walk with hubs and doggo this morning, and look at the leaves in the sun!
