My friends, I do need you all to know, that I feel emotionally bankrupt. Yesterday’s shock made me rethink my priorities. As you all know, I love my animals more than my own life itself. Losing Canna took me way further away from caring, than I have felt since my active dutiful career in law enforcement.
what I’m trying to say is this: I really have lost the feeling, that I am a good chicken keeper, and having only four left, leads me to believe that I am losing the faith (so to speak) your friend, Alexander
Alex, I am sorry you are feeling this way. I can’t blame you, as you have had a tough year with your flock. I hope you allow yourself to grieve and heal and enjoy your four remaining birds again.

Good afternoon everyone! It's a beautiful but chilly day here today! I spent the morning raking up leaves and pine needles in the free range pen! The chickens were such a great help...no, not really...:gig! Hope you are all enjoying your weekend! :)

My husband was on the garden side and the whole flock followed him, hoping for a treat...of which he gladly provided for them!

You have so much space and a lovely set up. How many chickens do you have?

All four were waiting for me on the porch just now. ("Hey daddy, where's Canna?") I took time to talk to them and spelled out the situation. My Beetov-Hen understood my words.the rest wanted treats.
