People do vile things and it is more than tough going when you are on the receiving end of it. :hugs Is there no one sympathetic in that house?
To rectify it for the chickens you could set up some posts where the hedge used to grow. Attach material like pieces of canvas horizontally like shade tarps between them, maybe like several tomato shades set higher up. Preferably something really ugly maybe? I recall there had been some fencing in use that was taken down. 😎 Got that lying around to lay over?
Great minds! I just posted a similar thought. LOL!

I have had a pretty horrible day, Two flat tires on the car, and couldn’t get my laundry done in town. My washing machine is waiting for a new timer. So I thought I would drop another mugshot Monday picView attachment 2440532
Sorry about your day, but thanks for the mug!

You've pretty much got it Kris.
I don't think she will harm the chickens. She was sly and manipulative as a child and with the drinking and the bitterness she has just got worse.
It's another day tomorrow. All the chickens are safe. They know that hedge row is no longer a safe place and they will adapt.
The problem I have is this sort of poisonous crap is infectious. I came here to get away from stuff like this. I'm content with not much and being Bucket Boy. I do not want to become like the other people who live here.
Very good point, Shad. Don’t stoop to that level... not that you would. Is it ok if I ask who “she” is? This is a relative of yours?

Chicken tax plus.:p
This is Tap. I think she's watched everyone else moult and thought, I'll have a go at that. She's left it rather late and is discovering that it isn't such a great idea after all.
I felt so bad for her the night before last when it froze I brought her into the house for the night.

Aww, Tap. Sweet you brought her in. I’m waiting for my 1.5 year olds to start their first molt. We’re down to the 30’s (F) at night, so if they molt, I hope they are soft molters.

We are down to 25F just before dawn. Maggie is nearly done molting but lit looks like Elizabeth just started. Keeping a close eye and will bring her in if she starts looking naked.
